(604) This gas is a normal component of air in levels up to 300ppm. It is only toxic in very high levels >3000ppm and rarely causes problems in piggeries. However if CO2 levels are high then there are significant risks that the levels of other more toxic gases will be critical. Increased levels cause pigs discomfort and restlessness which may lead to vice and cannibalism.
