Mange - Dermodectic (Folicle mites)

These tiny mites Demodex phylloides are unimportant from a disease aspect. They live at the base of the hair follicles, around the face and on the abdomen producing small papules. Rarely do they cause clinical disease.
Treatment
- The response to treatment is poor but the mite is sensitive to those medicines used for mange control.
